Yasuomi Umetsu's character designs have always been gorgeous, well-detailed and interesting. With a pedigree like this, though, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that not much has changed over the years. I assume that I'm not alone too, seeing how popular Yasuomi Umetsu's other movies are. My first thought whenever I watch any of Yasuomi Umetsu's movies is that I love, love, love the artwork. Which heart is real? The icy heart of the Angel of Death or the kind heart of Monaka? But she seems so delicate and sensitive can it really all be an act? Her past is tied with Akai and her fate is a duel to the death with the one man who can protect her - the one she loves most. By day the Angel of Death wears a different face though, the face of Monaka, an ordinary high school girl. She eliminates her targets with grace and precision and then vanishes without a trace into the darkness. Stories of her have begun to circulate around the city. Years later her whereabouts are still unknown. The OVA was when Xanthe Huynh debuted as a voice actor after winning the AX Idol contest in 2007. It was released in English by Media Blasters. KL was released in Japan on Maon DVD and on Novemin Blu-Ray. It takes place ten years after the events of Kite.
